About Kristin McCarty
Welcome to Abundant Life Psychotherapy and Wellness! My name is Kristin McCarty. I received my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. As a marriage and family therapist, I specialize in working with systems, recognizing the profound impact of interactions between various areas of our lives – mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational. This holistic approach guides my work, understanding that deeper healing occurs when we address the interconnectedness of these elements rather than treating them in isolation.
As an attachment-based therapist, I believe in the transformative power of relationships in fostering growth and healing. Drawing from a foundation of trauma-informed care, I create a safe and compassionate space for individuals and couples to navigate their unique journeys. I aim to cultivate an environment where every person's suffering is met with respect and understanding, free from judgment. This allows clients to vulnerably explore their experiences and emotions and find healing of the deepest places of hurt, fear, or shame in their lives.
My approach is rooted in the belief that healing is possible for everyone. Whether you're struggling with the aftermath of trauma, navigating challenging relationships, or simply seeking greater fulfillment and meaning in your life, I am here to support you every step of the way. My ultimate goal is to empower my clients to develop healthy practices in their lives and relationships beyond the therapy room.
Thank you for considering me as a partner in your healing journey! I look forward to the opportunity to support and accompany you along the way.
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.”
